20 Months

Benjamin, you are 20 months old today!  You are currently driving around the house on your ride on fire truck.  Today we went for a drive and ended up at a small market in Kilmore where you saw some chickens!  After we left there you fell asleep in your car seat and woke up when we stopped for lunch in Woodend.  Once we got home you built some towers with your giant Lego's while watching Dora the Explorer, your favorite.  Your vocabulary is growing all the time.  You have slept in all this week until after 7 am! (Thank you!!)  You like to choose your own clothes and even which color cloth diaper/nappy you want to wear!  Your favorite song is "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" because we sing it every week during swimming.  You love going to your swimming lessons.  We get there early so you have time to jump in a few times before the lesson starts.  You love having 2 of your friends from playgroup in the class.  I see progress in you every week.

Easter Weekend 2012

Easter weekend was spent down in Bairnsdale with my Mother-in-law.  We left early Friday morning, spent a lazy weekend with family and come home Monday.  Benjamin looked for his first Easter egg and got to meet the Easter Bunny!  We went to the Paynesville market where I got a bit too excited when I saw a stall selling MCN's (Modern Cloth Nappies)!  Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Dear Grandma,

     It's been 2 years and 9 days since you've been gone.  I miss you more and more each day.  I wish you had gotten to meet Benjamin.  You would have loved him, and he you.  I'm glad you knew he was coming.  I think about you often.  I hope you are watching over us with Grandpa.

Dear Benjamin

Dear Benjamin,

     Today, you are 19 months old.  You have brought so much joy to our lives.  I can't believe how fast you are growing up, how intelligent you are becoming and how much you make us laugh.  You are coming up with new words every day.  Your favorite things are playing with Chelsea and Andrew, watching Dora, and getting tickles.  You love to eat fruit (but not vegetables).  You are fantastic at identifying animals and even better at making their noises!  (Your favorite noise to make is for a dinosaur -ROOAAARRRRR).  You climb like a little monkey.  You are constantly talking and your new favorite word is "stuck!"  You have 14 teeth and still love drinking mommy's milk!  You will bring me a pillow and blanket during the day when you want some.  You will pick out which color cloth nappy you want to wear when it's time to get changed.  You hate wearing socks (like me) but love to put shoes on.  Thankfully you know that you need socks in order to wear shoes so you will put them on sometimes.  You have beautiful blonde curls and are way above average in both height and weight.  Thank you for being you.  We love you!
